South Africa - Congestion Surcharges:

While the industrial action that started May 10th continues to affect operations at South African ports and railways, several ocean carriers have announced congestion recovery surcharge fees.

Effective May 19th on all containers loaded and discharged at South African ports:
Safmarine: USD 75 per TEU
MOL: USD 70 per TEU
Maersk: USD 75 per TEU

We will continue to update on any further announcements from the carriers on the possible duration or when the withdrawal/suspension of the surcharge may take place.
